Craft Tips

Each week Ecstasy Crafts Inc sends a "Weekly Special Newsletter" to our customer base and included in the Newsletter is a Craft Tip of the Week.  We have decided to post these tips for everyone to enjoy:

Craft Tip #4
Punching;
Those of you that enjoy working with punches sometimes find that the punch seems to stick or not cut cleanly.  I have found the following procedures help; to sharpen the punch use tin foil the metal acts as a file, if your punch is jammed place in the freezer the metal will contract causing the punch to loosen and if it starts to stick place a small amount of graphite inside the punch as the graphite will acts as a lubricant causing the punch not too bind (remember to punch a few pieces first before using it on your craft project)
Craft Tip #3 
Perforating and dry embossing;
An easy way to make the perforating or dry embossing tools glide through or across the cardstock or vellum paper is with Perga Soft wax (#11802).  This greaseless wax is applied to ther tool by rubbing the end with Perga soft.  A small amount of Perga soft applied to the perforating and embossing tools will allow the tools to move smoothly through or a cross the cardstock and not catch.
Craft Tip #2
Changing the color of the Starform Outline Stickers: 
 An easy and fun way to create a different color for a Starform outline sticker is using the Dufex Brush tip permanent markers (#246016 and #246017).  Color directly over the sticker area, let dry for 5 seconds and apply.  The makers are great for coloring on all types of craft materials like acetate, glass, ceramics, plastics, glossy painted surfaces, fabric and more.  What a great way of color customizing your sticker sheets.You can find the marker sets here. 
Craft Tip #1
Cutting:
When cutting with a craft knife various designs out of templates and stencils try cutting on glass.  The glass will allow the knife to glide through the paper by not cutting into any surface / pad resulting in cleaner precise cutouts.
