Parchment Craft Magazine - August 2019
Welcome to the August issue of Parchment Craft magazine, the best magazine for parchment craft enthusiasts!
Hello Parchers I’m going to go easy on the bird puns, because if I don’t you’ll be quacking up!
Suffice to say that inside this month’s issue there are cards and designs that are themed around birds, however like every issue, all of the patterns can be adapted, so feel free to mix and match. We begin with what can only be described as a showstopper, an extraordinary example created by Roselyne Rivierre on the opposite page which combines coloured detailing in the centre, surrounded by a stunning example of lacework in the border. It’s a project that will certainly demand your time.
This month’s From the Archives project (page 14) is a piece of work by the talented and well respected, Dorothy Holness. Dorothy's classic bird design was first published in October 2010 and like Roselyne’s piece features a coloured bird in the centre, finished with layers of embossing around the outside.
Over on the Talent Spotters page we welcome Pearl Osman to the magazine, her card depicts a crane in fl ight and was created after a recent trip to Japan. As you can see from the above, it’s my favourite card inside this issue.
